New Zealand 'shooter' sent manifesto to officials and media before attack
The white supremacist who allegedly slaughtered 49 worshipers in 2 New Zealand mosques sent his rambling, hate-filled 16,500-word manifesto to the land's prime government minister less than x minutes before the attacks, according to a report Saturday
Near 70 others as well received the screed moments before Friday attacks, including National Leader Simon Bridges and domestic and international media, the New Zealand Herald reported.
Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old personal trainer from New South Wales, outlined in the 74-page manifesto his sick reasoning for the terrorist attacks that left 49 expressionless and dozens more injured.
The 28-year-onetime stormed the kickoff Christchurch mosque, Al Noor, around one:40 p.m., shooting dead 41 people while live streaming the attack on social media. He and so drove three miles across town to the Linwood Islamic Center, where he shot and killed seven more, using five guns total. Some other victim connected to the shooting was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police captured Tarrant nearly two hours later the first set on.
A spokesperson for Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the document did not detail his murderous plans.
"The mail was setting his reasons for doing information technology. He didn't say, 'This is what I am almost to practise.' There was no opportunity to stop information technology," the spokesperson said.
In his manifesto, titled "The Slap-up Replacement," Tarrant explained that his deportment were "revenge" for Islamic terrorist attacks beyond the world, and said he hoped to spark a civil war in the Usa.
